Frequently asked questions:

If your answer is not listed below, give us a call on 1300 303 655 or email info@medicalresponse.com.au

Is this a full first aid course?

Yes!  This is one of our most popular  first aid courses. It provides intermediate level first aid and CPR. Most workplaces and sporting events require this course as a mandatory minimum qualification for staff.

What is the difference between this and other fist aid courses?

This course has a focus on education and care settings. It covers a range of illness and injury specific to these environments, such as asthma and anaphylaxis and treatment with puffers and epi-pens.

How long does the class go for?

The course is made up of two components, an online learning module, and an in-person training session.
The online module should take you about 1 hour to complete.
The in-person classroom session should take about 2 hours.

Will I have to lean on the floor to do CPR?

Yes. This is an assessable requirement.  This is a nationally accredited course, and part of the assessment set by the industry skills council requires you to perform CPR on a patient who is on the ground.  You will be required to demonstrate this competency to pass.

I have learning difficulties. Can I still do the course?

We will do our very best to accommodate you. Please give us a call on 1300 303655 or email info@medicalresponse.com.au to discuss your specific requirements, and we will let you know if we can help.

How often do you run this course?

We run our courses regularly.  See the calendar above for course dates.  The red dots on the calendar indicate when the course is running.
If you have a requirement to do the course a day not listed, or wish to arrange a group booking, we will try and accommodate this for you. Just give us a call on 1300 303 655 to discuss.

How long will it take to obtain my certificate?

Your certificate will be mailed within 7 days of completing the training. However, we can provide an official letter of completion at the end of your course, to satisfy employer or university requirements.  Please inform us prior to the course if you require a completion letter to be issued on the day of training.

I don't want to do CPR in front of other people. Do you offer 1-on-1 courses?

We can provide 1-on-1 lessons for the CPR refresher. For all other courses, we only provide group based training.

Who are your instructors?

Our instructors hold university degrees in either Paramedicine or Nursing and have a background in emergency services (Police/Fire/Ambulance) or military. You can be sure you will be in good hands!
